THE BEST PORTABLE MACHINE MADE

THIS MACHINE IS GREAT FOR MY FRIENDS AND I THAT QUILT. THE WALKING FOOT IS BUILT IN AND THIS HELPS WITH PIECING AND QUILTING BY KEEPING THE PIECES FROM SHIFTING. THE MACHINE IS LIGHT WEIGHT AND WE CAN TRAVEL TO QUILT CLASSES OR ELSEWHERE WITHOUT LUGGING OUR BIG MACHINES.

Passport Pfaff

I love the machine. It sew a very nice stitch. Very light and easy to cart to class. Makes a very nice button hole. The only thing I wish it had is the button to cut the thread at the end of a seam. Thanks Pfaff for this portable machine.

Not my favorite, but not bad

I just bought my Passport a month ago. I wanted to like this machine... I really did. First the positive: I bought it because I needed a smaller machine to take to classes and for when I travel. It does serve that function well. It's smaller and lighter weight than most other sewing machines and yet it's not a "basic" machine... it has many decorative stitches and some advanced read more functions (speed control, twin needle capability, etc.). The lighting is good, it's reasonably quiet, and it makes a nice looking stitch. I also VERY much like the IDT feed system which does seem to keep the layers together better than other sewing machines. It's definitely a high quality machine and the manual is very good. What I didn't like: I think the control buttons are hard to push. I also had trouble right out of the box, getting the tension adjusted... finally (after a couple of hours) realized it was a problem with the bobbin tension. I did get it resolved but it took me awhile. It was my fault, not the machine's but I've just never had that issue before on my other sewing machines. Since it is a three-quarters size machine, it doesn't give you much "head room" when you're trying to thread the needle, etc... just not enough room to move my big hands around so it's uncomfortable at times. This may be the perfect machine for you... there's really nothing wrong with it. It just isn't super comfortable for me with my big hands. I'll still keep it for classes and travel but I'll use my Juki for sewing when I'm at home.
