I decided to purchase this machine after my 30-year old one broke and it would cost more to fix than buy a new one. I loved the front load bobbin because my old machine had the same type, and there was a helpful diagram inside the door so that I wouldn't forget which way to wind the bobbin. I recently learned how to sew, and I can say with confidence that this machine is very easy to use. I cannot compare its ease of use to other models since this is the only sewing machine that I have ever tried; however,I did have a bit of difficulty when trying to sew thick jeans--but that might be because it was my first time using the machine.
