The four bright LED's light up the 230 mm sewing area to the right of the needle, so you won't have to Sew in low lighting ever again. The slide-on free-arm extension table gives you extra space and comfort for large projects like quilting. The 7 mm stitch plate allows you to sew lovely decorative stitches with a maximum width of 7 mm. Additionally, the straight stitch plate comes standard with the Bernette B79– for perfect embroidery every time. Your machine detects automatically which stitch plate is being used and displays all compatible needles as well as adjusting the stitch width range accordingly.

Tie-off function and automatic thread cutter

The Bernette B79 automatic tie-off function ensures you don't have to stitch in reverse to stop the seam from coming undone. At the end of the seam, simply press the tie-off button. Then, with the automatic thread cutter button, cut off threads and your seam is done! If you want it even faster, program these functions for your foot control with a back-kick function – tap your heel once, automatically finish the seams and cut off any excess threads.

The B79 comes with 208 embroidery designs and 7 alphabets installed, giving you a wide range of options to choose from. The motifs can be edited on the touch screen, so you can easily rotate, flip, or combine design elements. If you want something truly unique, you can upload your own embroidery designs or designs that you edited and combined in your Bernette B79 Toolbox software via a USB flash drive. The B79 is compatible with most embroidery design formats – no need to convert files in a software program anymore.

I adore this sewing machine! It stitches beautifully and has a myriad of stitch options, you are spoilt for choice. I have tried a few embroidery designs as well. The design is all very user friendly. Though I had never used a computerized machine before, I am getting accustomed to it rapidly. Additionally, it is great for quilting too, with its larger throat size. Even though I am new to embroidery, I am not new to sewing. It took me a little while to get used the B79 at first, but downloading the manual really helped. There is one thing that I must mention which held ne up for an hour or so: in embroidery mode, make sure you HOLD DOWN the green button until machine actually starts. From my experiences so far, I think I'm going to enjoy experimenting… read more with this amazing machine. Switching from sewing modeto embroidery mode can be time consuming but it'll probably become easier over time with practice

I adore this machine! It was delivered quickly and the communication from the company was great. I'm still exploring all of its capabilities, but I love how easy it is to embroider with this machine. The downside is that it's a bit heavy and there's no manual, but I was able to download and print the parts I needed.
