It is a sturdy and smooth machine. The bobbin goes in vertically which will take time to get used to. But overall a good buy.

long lasting and a good starter machine

I bought this as a starter sewing machine when I got out of college. it has lasted me many, MANY sewing projects over the past 15 years. I actually didnt take great care of it, but it plodded on until just yesterday when the motor burned out. but if you ask me, 15 years of hassle free sewing is awesome. Not a good product

I am disappointed with this machine, expected more from a Viking, even a basic model. It jams easily & hand wheel must often be pushed to get the machine to start sewing. I thought it would be made in Sweden, instead was made in China.
