Fantastic machine

I recieved this machine about two weeks ago and I love it. Befoe I received it I read the intructions about threading. I purchased the color coded thread so I would know where the errors were but there were none. Sewed perfectly and threading was not a problem.

GREAT stitches,EASY threading,SO GLAD I bought this machine!

LOVE THIS MACHINE! Stitches GREAT and so EASY to thread! I have been sewing with the Juki MO655 regularly for about 6 weeks. What the other reviewer said about stitch quality is right on the money...terrific every time. However, while the other reviewer had what seems like a steep learning curve when changing thread colors/threading the MO-655 machine in general.....my experience read more threading this machine has been quite different-- it's been very very easy for me....even with 61-year old eyes ;) When threading for all the stitch configurations *except* those featuring the chain-stitch...changing this machine's looper threads CAN be done with the usual "Tie-on-and-Pull-Through" method! (I've done it many times now). ----Just like most sergers, the NEEDLE threads MUST be threaded LAST. ----So to change thread colors...after I raise the presser foot, leaving the LOOPER THREADS BE...I cut the NEEDLE threads close to the eyes of the needles, and pull them completely out of the eyes with a gently tug towards the back. ---- With the needle threads now completely cleared....I next **loosen the tension*** of both looper dials to the lowest setting. ----Then as is usually done with the "Tie-on & Pull Method" ...after I clip both looper threads close to their spools, I remove the looper spools, put the new color spools on their holders...and then tie the new color thread to its former corresponding looper threads (that are still nicely threaded though the "guts" of the machine). ----Next, I gently but firmly grasp the looper threads at the back of the presser foot, and pull them until the new color is completely pulled through. When I have about 6" of the new color pulled beyond the back of the foot, I thread the needles. I then "test" the threading by "stitching" with no fabric in the machine (called "chaining-off"). EASY EASY EASY...and so far, after doing at least 15 thread changes, this quick method has worked for me every time. (NOTE- you do need to re-thread from "scratch" when using the chain stitch options) GREAT stitching---EASY threading--I ABSOLUTELY recommend this machine!

Great machine

I bought this machine about 5 years ago. Overall, it has been a great machine. Sews a terrific rolled hem and very easy to set up. Sews a great chain and overlock on most fabrics. The con is that it is hard to thread. It seems to thread ok, but won't sew after being rethreaded. I have fought with it for over an hour many times in 5 years trying to get it threaded. Once properly read more threaded, it sews terrific again. This is my 3rd serger and the first one that I couldn't just knot the threads and pull them through, it HAS to be manually rethreaded everytime you change colors or configuration. I would recommend the machine, but there is a learning curve!
