Best Ever

This machine is powerful but runs quietly. It went through 5 layers of quilting easily with no thread breakage. The machine is consistent, smooth, and flawless--I love it!

Works like a Dream!!

The Juki 654DE is a serger that sews relatively quickly and quietly. Though I had no issues threading it, there is still a learning curve for beginners. In my opinion, the hardest part about using this machine are the needles themselves! I have used it with both cotton fabric and knit fabrics- regular machine needles worked fine for me in stretch stitches. The differential Juki… read more function is terrific for sewing especially difficult fabrics like knits; because of how the differential compensates eliminates any 'stretchiness' or waviness in seams caused by materials.

Love this thing!

For some context, I have been sewing for decades and now own a small business that sells products made from jean material, cork and vinyl fabric, upholstery fabric, as well as quilting fabric.
