Great machine for a budget!

I been looking for a replacement Serger, since my old Singer would cost more to fix than a new one. After a long time searching for a simple Serger and being limited on funds, I found the Janome 8002D to be what I needed. The machine came threaded, very lightweight and space saving.. What I really like about this machine it is quiet,and the retractable knife option. Took… read more me a few minutes to figure how to thread it. but not that hard and it is color coded, and the directions on threading are on the machine.The machine weighs about 12 lbs and it does not bounce off the table, Stitching is even and nice.The light is bright and the size needle info is on the machine too. instruction booklet easy to read. I even received a bonus of Cd,Needles and a blind hem foot . plus tools. the only thing the machine needs is a compartment for the tools but I can make a little bag or even use a small container for that. I would recommend this machine. for those who are on a budget.

good machine

I just got this for my self. I have a small business and love this machine. Threading is no different from much expensive machines. The light is pretty bright but make sure you have a stable table for this machine.

Great buy

I have had this serger for over a year and still love it. It sews well and is compact and light weight . It threads as easily as any manual threading serger and the instruction book is easy to follow. An especially good buy for the price. You can't go wrong with a Janome.
