Great Embroidery Unit attachment Case

Great price and great trolley for travelling to classes with machine. I love that it folds to three inches and can be stored so easily. Very well made and I loved the free shipping and fast shipping. This is the second major purchase made at SMPlus and it is the first place I will purchase my products.

Love this Tutto embroidery project bag!

Bought this bag to hold the embroidery unit for my Bernina Artista 730E. The Tutto bag is well contructed and well padded. I like that it has several large pockets to fit the hoops.

Well-made bag, but smells like nicotine-straight from Tutto

I bought my 23" Tutto embroidery unit project bag direct from Tutto when they were having a sale over the summer. When it arrived and I opened the box, I got a blast of a cigarette/nicotine odor. I was hoping it was just the shipping box, but upon taking the bag out of the plastic and unzipping it, the odor was still there, and was worse inside the bag.

The bag also looked, read more how shall I say....not new(?)

It looked like it had either been sitting somewhere for quite some time, or possibly a customer return(?). The padding pieces inside were all just floating around loose in the bag, and the detachable carry strap had a worn, crumpled tissue and tape band around it that appeared to have been removed and put back on several times.

Similar to when you go to a store having a sale and you can tell that the items with the greatest discounts are old stock.... the products have been picked through many times...the tags are crumpled &/or faded and the products look 'old'.

The whole bag just didn't look like new stock or factory fresh, which I would have expected, ordering directly from the manufacturer.

I reached out to Mascot Metropolitan Inc. /Tutto. com customer service and was told that the 'cigarette' smell was 'a new fabric smell" ...seriously?...and that Fabreeze would be fine to use...I did...it barely did anything.

I'm guessing that the odor might have been an issue with other customer's products because I was also informed that Tutto was now using a different asian manufacturer than where my bag was made.

Although I could send the bag back to Tutto and get a refund, I was told that I could not get an exchange because it would cost Tutto too much $$ to pay for the return shipping and to send me a replacement. I was told to buy one elsewhere.... seriously.

I really didn't want to be a jerk of a customer by sending the bag back at their cost, especially since I got it on sale and I'm sure their sales have been impacted by the pandemic (2020), so I kept the bag, did a few more weekly mists of Fabreeze for two months, in addition to alternating with several charcoal air freshener packs to the inside of the bag (the cloth charcoal packs that you would hang in a closet or put in shoes).

It's been five months and although there is still a slight hint of the nicotine smell, it's better than it was when I first got the bag.

When it came time to buy a matching rolling bag for my sewing/embroidery machine, I got it here at SMP, instead of directly from Tutto, and there were no problems at all. The bag arrived looking factory fresh and had NO detectable odors.
